• Majnoon Oil Field
  Majnoon is one of the largest oil fields in the world, with an estimated 38 billion barrels STOIIP (stock tank original oil in place), according to the Iraqi Ministry of Oil. Shell Iraq Petroleum Development B.V (SIPD) will operate on behalf of an operating consortium: Royal Dutch Shell Petronas and Missan Oil Company, the state carried partner. The Majnoon project consists of a two phase development. Phase I consist on reaching First Commercial Production (FCP) and Phase II focus in the development of the full field (FFD).
• Basrah Gas Company
  Some 20 million cubic meters per day is currently being flared in the South of Iraq. This represents 170,000 barrels of oil equivalent each day (boe/d) of raw gas. Basrah Gas Company (BGC) is a joint venture between the South Gas Company, Shell and Mitsubishi Corporation. The joint venture will gather, treat and process raw gas produced within Basrah and sell the processed natural gas and associated products such as condensate and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for use in the domestic and export markets
